With a surge in the requirement for training in vocational skills for employment, the need for skilled and capable trainers too has become a pressing need. While most of those currently engaged in training are qualified in their domain or ‘hard’ skills, there is a clear need for developing their skills of transacting, ensuring and evaluating learning and dealing with learners from diverse backgrounds, rural and urban. In order to build a pool of trainers with effective facilitation skills, VCS GROUP has structured a 40 hour comprehensive training program for trainers to enhance their generic training/facilitation skills.

The training develops knowledge in the four important areas of understanding trainees, understanding the urban context, understanding the job market and understanding the needs of the training environment. Trainers undergo a domain training module which takes them through the training content, assessment methodology and practical sessions. Guest lectures are also conducted by domain experts for giving a perspective of best practices being followed in the industry
